Conference “MIKTA Challenges and opportunities” (April 11 2024, Mexico City)

The conference “MIKTA: Challenges and Opportunities” was successfully held at the Facultad de Estudios Superiores de Acatlán. The event aimed to introduce the MIKTA Group to young people and create a space for reflecting on the potential of this mechanism for dialogue and joint coordination. The conference was particularly targeted at students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, both in face-to-face and open university modalities.
The session was moderated by Ismael Centeno and featured distinguished speakers, including Nora Goris Mayans, Secretary General of FES Acatlán; Cheppy Wartono, Ambassador of Indonesia in Mexico; Ilhan Kemal Tug, Ambassador of Türkiye in Mexico; Huh Tae-wan, Ambassador of Korea in Mexico; Penny Toledo, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Australia in Mexico; and Jennifer Feller, Director General for Europe and G20 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.
During the conference, the main challenges and opportunities faced by MIKTA were discussed. Attendees had the opportunity to hear diverse perspectives and engage in an enriching exchange of ideas, thereby strengthening their understanding of the relevance and impact of this group in global diplomacy.
