MIKTA Foreign & Health Deputy Ministers’ Joint Meeting (Videoconference, 8 September 2022)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı and Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Tolga Tolunay of the Republic of Türkiye, co-chaired the meeting of MIKTA Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs & Health.

Deputy Foreign and Health Ministers of MIKTA countries gathered to exchange views on lessons learnt from COVID-19 and shared best practices for next global health crisis.

Deputy Ministers also discussed the potential ways of MIKTA cooperation on strenghtening the Global Health Architecture.

At the meeting, MIKTA members -Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, Türkiye and Australia- delivered the Joint Statement on COVID-19 response and preparedness for future health crisis.
